Turn your back and all of a sudden there’s a water cooler! Oh well I suppose some of you are driving.

Nice beer, it’s either that or ESB whenever I’m in town. Cheers for the weekend 😁

So I'm guessing, OF watercooler, a place to shoot the shit kinda thing😀, so questions, anybody got any metal in them?
I took a bit of a tumble 3 weeks ago while skiing, ended up with this, left tibia fractures.

Anybody got something similar, how did it work out? I'm all good, just need to be patient now, fortunately time I have so one day at a time.
Cheers

Is it Rolesor or Lucent steel ?
I had some of that in my right lower leg, both tibia and fibula from playing soccer as a kid, back in the 70`s and it wasnt even 316 as one screw came out looking corroded Good thing it didnt kill me and the leg turned out okay. A bit of a duck stance that wore off while growing up. You should be fine ! but ask for anasthetics when they take it out, because i do remember that as being very painful, as in MoFo painful.

Wow. That had to be painful. Here’s to a speedy recovery!

Thanks, it's titanium, and my understanding is that it will stay in, until I need a new knee, 10 to 15 years. Fortunately no real pain, just uncomfortable, I'm lucky.

Had something similar about 6 years ago. Worked out OK. Some nerve damage so loss of feeling down front of leg and some reduction in flexibility but all in all a success story.
Follow all the guidelines and do exactly as advised

Thanks, I have that loss of feeling, but it's early. I plan on following the instructions to the letter👍

I think I remember the surgeon saying it was 50/50 regarding recovery of feeling due to nerve damage. Guess I was unlucky in that respect but hopefully you will be ok. I can't say it bothers me too much except when doing any jobs that require kneeling down. I knelt on something sharp whilst doing DIY one day and never realised until I stood up and saw the blood so I have to be careful that's about all though.

My view tonight

Good God, man! That'll be some project. Maybe grab some Sabian polish at the same time? 😜

I sure wish I could see your bandmates faces when you tell them you 'just need a moment to swap heads'. Mind you, that's payback for years of 'Shhhh.....can't you see I'm tuning....?'

Wishing you a fine show!

Seriously, a Friday afternoon meeting should have a substantial rationale with definable, measurable outcomes. Unfortunately, the one I’m in does none of the above.
