"Relax, you're wound too tightly," mainspring. "You're gonna snap one of these days. Don't you agree, jewel?"
"Hey, leave me out of this. I like to avoid friction."

·I thought I wanted a 2254.50 but I'm concerned about getting scammed. there's almost too many of these available and shite versions are going for $3k. I think I've decided on a 168.001, provided I can find one, or a 168.004.
I have a normal-sized wrist, per google, but it's shaped like a baguette (as opposed to a sausage) so there's a bit of real estate for a 34-35mm watch. unfotunately so many of the fire Omegas are 34-35mm.
probably for the best. I want to sell a watch before I buy another.

Welcome! I think the 2254.50 is a great place to start! There are a lot of them floating around and I bet you can snag a good one if you're patient. Though the prices are creeping up - I think $2.5K-$3K is starting to become pretty normal.
The other models you are hunting for are also a great place to start, but I actually think they may prove a harder challenge to find something in good condition at a decent value.

2) eBay would be a far easier place for an unscrupulous seller to peddle their wares. 3) would we really give up the opportunity to pop in and say hi, or I fixed falafel for dinner, or we need a mountain lion to curb the deer population, just to prevent someone from (perhaps) bumping their post count. This is my 566th post. I haven’t tried to sell a thing…but I have purchased some (including a beauty of a speedy from a very respected member).

I think it’s not too hard to get 200 posts by “farming” elsewhere and posting on WRUW if that is somebody’s intent. I also think people overestimate the importance of being able to sell here. There seems to me to be too much suspicion that newcomers are just farming to post a sales ad. And even if that does happen, I think people can see right through it when vetting the seller. Maybe my perception is wrong though.

·Venison nachos. I’m in Pennsylvania. We have so many white tailed deer that it’s hard not to hit one just driving to and from the office. They have no natural predators here. Hunters take their share, but not enough to control the population. We need to have the American mountain lion reintroduced to the Eastern US, although some folks believe that they’re already here.

But seriously, we’d like to see your watches. And I think we all notice paying members regardless of post count. Some are just more chatty than others, nothing wrong with either one.
