·When I was in my early 20s I handled a lot of cougars. But most of them were older women. By that I mean 32 year olds. Yes, that was way too old for me back then.This was one of 2 cougars that I seized from unsavoury types who kept them at home, in a residential subdivision. The cat lady at Toronto zoo gave me crap for handling them. They do not trust these cats.
I had mu finger in the mouth of one. Guy in Wisconsin had one in a large pen. He did it first and then had gullible me do it. I could feel the teeth put pressure on my finger. I can almost still feel it almost 40 years later.
He also had wolves, which he bred with other digs for sled dogs. I was there looking at a 1/4 wolf, part Norwegian hound part other stuff for a pet. He bred dogs for the John Beargrease sled dog race.
The wolf came up to the cage all happy and wagging it's tail. Then another wolf headed towards us and the first wolf turned and growled and snarled at it before turning back to us all happy. The guy said, " it's okay, you can pet him." I still had the hair on my neck standing up. Very intimidating and unforgettable
