I get that .. normally I’d laugh it off but something about this bugs me. Perhaps I am indeed nuts.

you're within your rights to make the request you made. Perhaps I've spent too much time on gamefaqs, reddit, and other immature places filled with ...younger people that constantly use FTFY to rile each other, definitely not trying to kick over the fire ant mound here or anything. 😁

I’ve been a member here since 2016 , I should have a thicker hide by now.

The main WRUW thread kinda does that already. People post what they're up to, say their greetings, or share a little about their watch.
True but there isn’t much discourse there other than sharing pictures that quickly get buried. This could be a place to more casually shoot the breeze.

That was indeed the thought process behind it. We talk a heck of a lot “shop” on OF…which is what OF is for. A place for casual “shooting the breeze” is harder to find on threads.

Just got done at the store picking up stuff to make some tomatillo salsa- might grill up some burgers on the BGE and caramelize some onions in cast iron and have a... sortof southwestern style burger with caramelized-grilled onions, tomatillo-jalapeno salsa, BBQ sauce, and ranch dressing.

Hope everyone's Sunday before President's day is going well.

Shoot that reminds me, this is the weekend to trim my rose bushes back so that I can get some wildly beautiful flowers this season.

Venison nachos on the menus for our house tonight. Fresh pico to go with them….and your post reminds me that I’ve got bushes, roses, and crepe myrtles to trim soon. Beautiful roses sir!

It is hard to beat fresh pico. Had falafel for dinner tonight on pita with shredded carrots, lettuce, onion, tomato, and avocado. The avo is pretty non-standard, but we're Californians so we have to put it on everything. Other than that, I got the grocery shopping done for the week and got in a good game of pick-up soccer in this morning.

I need to be more proactive with shopping in advance. I go to the store almost everyday…but I enjoy cooking and I never know what me and the Mrs. might like for dinner until the afternoon hours. Bright side is that I walk into the store and I get greeted like Norm on Cheers.

I've always been a shop for the week kind of guy, I don't have enough time for daily trips to the store. When I was a kid my parents shopped once a month. We ate a lot of frozen veggies (ick).

Venison nachos. I’m in Pennsylvania. We have so many white tailed deer that it’s hard not to hit one just driving to and from the office. They have no natural predators here. Hunters take their share, but not enough to control the population. We need to have the American mountain lion reintroduced to the Eastern US, although some folks believe that they’re already here.

We have the big kitties in California, but also have a crap-ton of deer. The mountain lion visited when we were having our house painted which explains the mess.

We fill our freezer every season and, like your neck of the world, they still abound. Totally agree on the mountain lions. Beautiful and efficient. Magnificent creatures.

That'll have to change, you thinking vintage or modern? Vintage has a low price of entry. Check out the recommended eBay watch threads.

Welcome to OF, BTW.

I thought I wanted a 2254.50 but I'm concerned about getting scammed. there's almost too many of these available and shite versions are going for $3k. I think I've decided on a 168.001, provided I can find one, or a 168.004.

I have a normal-sized wrist, per google, but it's shaped like a baguette (as opposed to a sausage) so there's a bit of real estate for a 34-35mm watch. unfotunately so many of the fire Omegas are 34-35mm.

probably for the best. I want to sell a watch before I buy another.

cheers

This one still lives inside me!
‘Hey, Norm! How’s a beer sound?’
‘Kinda, glug glug glug, gulp’

Always my favourite part of each episode.

Welcome to OF Jason

The 2254.50 is an excellent watch- I bought mine not knowing what it was, but I was lucky. After some time here you should be able to pick a good one. You may start here: https://omegaforums.net/threads/show-your-2254s-in-action.165766/

Welcome aboard, Jason! All the info you need is on this forum. I have a 7-71/4 inch wrist and I wear everything between a 33.5mm 1952 Seamaster to a 42mm Speedmaster. You should be fine with whatever strikes your fancy.

Post pics before you buy by starting a thread in the General Discussion forum. That’ll help with keep you from the fakes that are out there. Good luck!

Great thread for post farming. Although the length of the contributions and their content can provide important clues.

Club? And where are the girls? 😗
Here. But you might be disappointed. We only show watches and wrist shots.
