It must be nice to have one's sanity intact.
I now have around a dozen watches, each fills a certain niche, and I'm finding it hard to choose what to wear each day. You didn't ask, but here is how I break down my collection
* An old pocket watch: 1915 Hampden-Dueber (given to my dad by the original owner who worked on the railroad)
* A classic military watch: Waltham A-11
* An old tank watch: 1947 Bulova His Excellency in white gold rolled plate
* Classic Dressy Seamaster: 14710 No-lume dial on BOR
* A Wyler: 60s Railroad Approved hand winder (Wyler was the main brand my Grandpa's Jewelry store carried. He had a customer that was a one-armed logger and Wyler was the only brand the customer wouldn't destroy)
* Speedmaster: 145.022 -69 (given to my dad for masters graduation by my grandpa)
* Accutron: 1973 Spaceview with wide reflector ring
* A dive watch: Mid 80s mid-size Tag Heuer 980.013 converted to automatic
* A Soviet watch: A 80s ultra-thin 2209 gold plate Luch (bought from a Ukrainian Ebay seller)
* Bauhaus: Max Bill hand wind with white dial
* 70s style integrated bracelet watch: 35mm Tissot PRX
* An absolute beater: A $15 Casio digital watch
I do see some holes, some year in the future I may pick up:
* A GMT: Would probably be an Accutron Astronaut
* An alarm watch: Bulova Wrist Alarm with the wiggly hand is the way to go
* A Constellation: I think the Speedmaster, Seamaster, Constellation is the Omega trifecta. Not sure what I would get. The early arrowhead Connies are nice but are hard to find, and expensive. My other options are an f300, or a nice c-case on a brick bracelet.
* A big or small rose Oyster-prince Tudor with a black dial.
