Not as rare as a Rolex thus will never come near the price of e.g. the amazing ‘Starbucks’ (over 400 currently FS on C24) ( 🙄 ), but I like them. Very much. Not the Starbucks (those are 🤮 …SD43 way better) BUT the Trilogy. In fact I hope the prices stay where they are otherwise it becomes difficult to enjoy wearing them (like my Alaska which I love, but starts getting into stupid territory). I’d rather those hideous coin dialed watches migrate moonwards 😁

3,557 of each model, plus the additional 557 numbered sets. The Speedmaster Trilogy is a sleeper at the moment although prices have crept up in the last year or so. It really is a great watch on the wrist. Too much is made of the 'aged' indices and hands, imo. For those that don't like the aged lume I would direct them to the new Canopus 321 model, no aged lume but a price tag of $81,000.

I bought the Speedmaster 2nd hand just a few months after they came out and have always loved it. I can't say enough about the bracelets, and the dial is beautiful. My newest purchase, the SM trilogy arrives tomorrow, and I expect to be just as impressed with it. Is this not a gorgeous watch? There's something about the bezel on the 2913.

Just a slight correction in terminology, it actually hammered for HK$85,000 and with the buyer's premium the total is HK$107,100. But that is a strong number. C24's selection range from US$8,000 to about $US16,000 with an average probably around US$10,000 to $10,500 + whatever taxes and duties applicable to a purchase. But this model is definitely on the upswing, it has been kind of a sleeper since its introduction five years ago.

I beleive the screen grab has the correct terminology, and price that reflects the premium. It did recently hammer in HK…

There is nothing wrong with the screen grab, it shows the SOLD price at HK107,100. I was just pointing out that you had said it had 'hammered in Hong Kong' which I interpreted to mean the HK107,100 was the hammer price. The buyer's premium is added to the hammer price to get the sold price.

What you interpreted is not what I said...as I explained. I hope its clear now...
We are talking past each other, all is good. Final sold price is correct and it was hammered (auctioned) in Hong Kong. Done.

I don't get it. Why so high? I thought these were available all day long for way less. Not that I'm complaining, I think it's great, I love mine.

Recently hammered in Hong Kong…

13645USD
13070CHF

link.
Looks like Japan Racing went even higher than usual too. Almost twice what they usually go for. But these results can also be outliers.
Though when compared to the trilogy, there are much fewer fullset Japan Racing on chrono24.
