Good evening

Maybe the last acquisition of the year and a long break before next year. A Certina DS2 Certidate of 1970 ref 5801-300 which has been a model that I coveted for a very long time although very difficult to find in excellent condition, on one hand the quality of the movement the 25-651 in-house movement is legendary for its quality, precision and reliability but its design with a rotor mounted on ruby and tungsten carbide bearings superior to what Omega and Rolex manufactured in the 60-70's. The DS shock-absorber system with the shock absorber joint mounted around the movement was a guarantee of the absolute solidity of the watch. A watch and a brand to be discovered in vintage. The DS2 was one of the biggest commercial success of Certina.

Have a nice week

Best regards

Georges
