i really like mine, but am glad it was inexpensive to buy so I could get it serviced by someone I trust. Purchase price plus service was not $1900, but within a few hundred. I see the one on Hodinkee is now sold. The @Nepomuceño effect?
😀
I should have elaborated a bit more but as @Scarecrow Boat said bought on Hodinkee and now being resold on eBay by the original buyer. And I remember that skin diver @Scarecrow Boat. As I recall it was chrome and was bought for over $1000 👎

It appears as though the watch in the eBay listing is the very watch in the sold Hodinkee ad. Possible buyers remorse?
I recall another instance of possible buyers remorse playing out the same way- a cheap but grossly over priced skin diver was sold by Hodinkee and soon after ended up on eBay for the same over inflated price… and languished. I can’t find it but I think, maybe, @JwRosenthal might remember it?
@JwRosenthal watch out! Skin diver prices are about to go to the moon. You'll be able to buy your way into high society!
If they can get $1.2k for a chrome plated Orvin, I should be able to get at least $4k for this stainless Deluxe
