Love these watches. As soon as I can save some more funds I'm going to look for one of these

Hi
just collected the sunburst refurbished flightmaster case. I visited Roger in person and he gave me a quick tour in his workshop. All machines are either modified or created by Roger. I'm very pleased with the result and Roger has a good feeling when polishing - it should not look like a new watch - therefore it's about 1/100mm that is taken off.
Next time I'll attend the process when my big-blue is going the same way - and I'll try to capture the whole process in pic.

Meanwhile please see attached pics of the workshop, Roger and the final result.
Have a nive sunday.
Loncar
That's a sweet workshop!

It looks like I couldn鈥檛 resist to this one. 145.026, cal. 911, worn and scratched but it clearly has tons of stories to tell :

I had to get one and wear it to really understand it and start appreciating them. Must admit it has a lot of wrist time now 馃槦

Cosmonaut Alexei Leonov turned up in the beginning of this topic, but neither he nor Kubasov wore the Omega Flightmaster during the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project spaceflight ( aka Apollo 18 & Soyuz 19 ). They wore a Flightmaster during training... Picture shows both cosmonauts Alexei Leonov and Valeri Kubasov during English language lesson:

Omega Flightmaster flown aboard space shuttle Atlantis on the STS-46 mission in August 1992... Photo shows Italian TeleComs engineer/astronaut Franco Malerba on the aft flight deck of the shuttle as he was wearing an Omega Flightmaster 145.036 calibre 911 with 24 hour function recognizable by its thicker watch case.

145.036? Shouldn't that be the 145.026 because of the orange hands...?

Yellow hands were on an option on all three versions as I understand it.

Never realized that. I knew that the 145.026 could also have yellow hands, but in the reference books never actually bumped into a 145.036 with orange hands... Google will find some though 馃榾 Tnx.

As I understand it the .026/.036 variation is to do with water resistance/pressure resistance levels.

And the bi-colour pushers (half red/half yellow) are so that whichever hand set it used, the pushers still make sense. 馃榾

I was not aware of a case dimension difference between 145.026 and 145.036. Perhaps worth a separate thread?

Sounds like some things are getting muddled above.

The 910 has a 24 hour counter, the 911 replaces that with a running seconds counter.

The .026 and .036 share a near identical case... the difference being around the crystal and gasket.

Good info here: http://www.old-omegas.com/pilotline.html

You can change it to English on the page 馃榾
That鈥檚 news to me too, I was stuttering through it using my bad French...
