I went to official OMEGA FB page and made my statement. Unfortunately only a couple of likes and no reaction from them
I still can't quite believe that massive disclaimer at the top of the extract...talk about putting a downer on things! Big from me
Well i got my pdf through yesterday, so all told ca 12 days from order to pdf download - can't really complain at that; although i'd have happily waited 30 days and paid 80CHF given the choice. I'm tempted to print the pdf onto some thicker, textured paper if only to make it look more value for money lol! Onto the info though, mines turned out to be Feb 1977 production, so even later than i thought, originally supplied with black Corfam strap to customer in Belgium
Lovely pieces! My favorite is the "Transitional" model in the middle. Seems to be a 145.013 cased, correct?
It is a bit weird, always wondered why its written that way. Checked the extracts from Omega, they are printed Flightmaster. The watches are always printed flightmaster on the dial afaik.
And boxes seems to be printed flightmaster as well. But the very first version is printed Flightmaster on the dial.
Yes this was a short-lived fashion in the late 60s. I think you can find a lot of advertisements with unexpected minuscules. In any case, it reminds me of my childhood. The first watch I bought as a collector was/is a 910. The font struck a nerve with me.
I made the request about 2 months before they closed for renovations. I thought I would get the new EoA, but apparently mine had been completed just not sent. I guess I was lucky.
The center watch is numbered as an .026, but it is a nice transitional dial serial# is 31636xxx. The .013 on the left is a very early one serial 2930xxx. Although original single color pushers replaced a while ago, it's a no dot dial.
The .026 with a 31636 must be one of the first Transitional in a 026 case. My two .014 Transitionals (pic above) have the same 5 starting digits, while my .026 Transitional already has a 32203xx production number.
