I can see why certain models might be worth retiring, but I don't personally think a 105.012 Speedmaster is one.
My 105.003 and 105.012 are both in good condition, and are worn several days per week, although I take them off for cleaning/lifting etc. If they pick up a ding during light day to day wear, so be it.
Sell'em all, sell your house, close your accounts, and move to Montana and live off the grid.

The conundrum is exactly this sentiment running up against the passage of time.
Will there ever come a day when you see a 105.012 or 105.003 being worth retiring? In 20 years will you see the watch the same way? 40 years? What about the watches you own that you feel might be worth retiring some day? Will you buy a second to wear as a beater as suggested by @watchknut, will you retire the watch, or will you sell as @ulackfocus suggests.
