I thought he did the Manhattan cased Connies, and those came out in 82. Well the internet may be wrong on this one...

Nope. Genta did not design the manhattans.

I also thought he did. I also thought he designed the 222/Overseas. Then a Genta expert corrected me.

Genta designed many Omegas. Including constellations and seamasters.

Problem is hard to determine which.

What i understand is he designed the piepan (specially the onyx-inlaid markers) and the C-case connies.

I think this thread + contacting dealers may be even more effective as a WTB.

Also if @BlackTulip is prepared to weed out potential scammers he could post a very visible WTB on Chronotrader— however he would have to tread very carefully if he receives an offer, make a public call for references on various forums to ensure the person is well known, ask for tagged pictures.
I would only recommend that if he’s completely briefed on the various scams in existence and prepared to thwart them.

Sorry but I'm also all for the 200 post limit. While I'm newer here, I have been using various watch forums since the early 2000s, with a break of a few years, until recently hopping back in again. I think it's more important now than ever to keep the forum alive by insisting on high quality membership. I know it can be frustrating when looking for a specific piece, but the primary raison d'être of the forum is not to turn over merchandise but to build a community of knowledge and fellowship among collectors. There are plenty of outlets here one can go to buy a watch.
I truly don't even know how many posts I have here, it doesn't show me while I'm composing a thread, so I could be over 200 or well below by now, and even tho I do have Omegas I am currently seeking to buy, post count is not a driver for my participation at all.
There's lots of instant gratification in the world today, but I like the slower pace of the forum here, even compared to other forums, and I think letting a wave of unknown members coming here solely to do business would erode this forum into irrelevancy pretty quickly.
That's not to attack the OP in any way, and I hope somebody here can help him find his grail piece.
(Edit: I see now that I have 77 posts at the time of this writing.)
