Having handled the NTTD watch yesterday, it's nice, I like it, and being a Bond fan, I'd love to add it to my collection. But it's definitely not worth the price its selling for be it on nato or mesh. Especially when it comes with no proper Omega box or accessories. Unless that's how we see the watch being presented to Bond in the movie with that pouch (I guess we'll know soon enough), I don't see why Omega just couldn't add in the usual box or a 007 themed box to come with the watch. And even if Bond did receive the watch with that pouch in the movie, a 007 themed box with the accessories like how the Spectre was presented would've been nice for that price.

Paying close to SGD13K for a watch and that's how it comes..... Meh. It just feels incomplete. Overpriced sounds about right. I'll get it if it sells below retail. Definitely not paying full price. More power to those with the extra cash to splurge on this though. Enjoy the watch!

I'm good with my Bond trio and would love to add the NTTD watch one day, but a pity about the price.

Yes I have. The only PO I'd want is the 42mm one that he wore in Quantum of Solace.

Definitely considering it some time in the future.

Maybe the title needs to state "the best Omega Bond watch ever"...nice as the newly released model is, I'm not a fan of fake patina, nor am I capable of wearing something this "tall" on my wrist.

As for best Bond watch ever? Sorry folks, I'd take every Rolex on the list before any of the Omega's.

I found this list of Bond watches. Some real lemons in there.

    Ever ?
Has to be the Rolex GMT-master of Peter Sellers in the baffling, disorganized 1967 movie " Casino Royale "

The Quantum of Solace should have been the best Bond watch by a long shot were it not for that horrible crystal.

I think I'm going to have to check it out in person before ruling it out. The "faux-tina" worries me as it's addition to a few other watches (the Seamaster 300 for one) I feel was a mistake. But with the hue of the titanium and matte/brushed finish I could see this working.

So that’s why the dial is also called the watch face.

I hate our local AD for not delivering on my moonshine gold speedmaster order. So in my disgust, i have not gone to the local AD in months. Still bought a few Omegas since then but from online sellers (latest one from an OF trusted seller).

But this thread forced me to eat humble pie (and i also need to have the AT resized). So i stepped into the local AD and asked if the No Time to Die seamaster is already available. Unfortunately not yet available in our parts. Not even a price yet. And no date yet. They just know this year.

Oh well. This thread is really a bad influence. :)

Indeed, in the first movies, James Bond was wearing a Rolex wristwatch, just a writer Ian Fleming (1908-1964) intended as he wore a Rolex himself.
There was no fuzz about it, the action hero just wore a decent toolwatch ( Rolex Submariner diving watch) suitable for his job as a spy...
Fast forward to the year 1995 when the Aston Martin was replaced by a BMX and Omega bought its way in... product placement bull shit.

Bond wouldn't need a new watch and continued to wear his vintage Rolex...
Looks like the general public don't have any idea of the cut backs in working funds for all kinds of "special services" including the military... no cash for new fancy watches there :D
