The Best Bond Watch Ever?

How come they used the film Goldeneye to market the 2531, whereas the watch actually used was the 2541? My guess is that the 2531 came out before any marketing material for Tomorrow Never Dies was available, but just guessing...
PO with the 2500D movement was I think the best Bond watch

Better judge yourself, my amazing AD called today...
I am impressed:
So light&easy to wear, true Bond-watch without yelling it. Technical qualities of the 8806 are stunning, dial is soooo stylish—you have to see this piece yourself! Photos&videos don’t do any justice. Even though I am a huge Rolex fan, this Seamaster beats the Rolex Sub in every way. Yeah, sub was the original Bond watch, but Seamaster is the Modern era Bond watch. IMO: Best Bond Watch Ever.
I think this is one of the first Bond Seamasters in Europe!
Just getting to this thread! But if i'm going to cast my vote it'll be for the Casino Royale for the spiral dial or the Skyfall with the 007 at the 7 hour position on the Planet Ocean bracelet.

I don't disagree, that has long been my favorite Omega Bond watch. But the current 2021 heritage 300 basically provides the same look and the NATO strap is also available separately from Omega. So it kind of diminishes the Spectre for me.

Hence, I currently favor the NTTD, as it's more unique.

NTTD is the ultimate Seamaster for before this series of bond films ends. It's a nice watch in titanium.
Only mesh titanium bracelet?
Never say a bracelet like this one.
I might have ordered on myself.

Does this wear thinner than the normal 42 considering the (more intelligent) caseback? Omega watches are proper hockey pucks these days!

7inch flat wrist. 5th hole down from the watch.
Best part is not feeling anything from the watch clasp when I close it up. I don't like that anticipation on some divers when I close up and it pulls hair or grabs the skin.
The bracelet is super comfortable and the watch is very light.
Man the colors are perfect.
I completely get the faux vintage. Like most Tudors (which everyone overlooks them using faux aged lum) it wouldn't work with white markers

Really a great all around watch. I can't want to break it in.

I like the newer Omega tributes to 007 but for me those watches are trying too hard for my tastes. In my opinion the Seamaster professional quartz that Pierce Brosnan first wore is the original and best. In a podcast he mentions the watch and says he still has it and it's still working great. It's also a watch that the average (or below average like me) dude can round up at an affordable price.

The NTTD is slightly thinner than the normal version. I measured mine at 13mm exactly. Can't say if it wears any thinner from a practical view point, as I don't own the normal SMP.

Big fan of Pierce Brosnan in Thomas Crowne Affair but he had NO business being cast as James Bond.....

You didn't think Goldeneye was at least a decent James Bond movie?

To answer the thread's question, If I really had to pick one I might go with the Planet Ocean 2500. On a different day I may wind up picking different watches though...

I think that is like asking Captain Kirk or Picard?

I’m Kirk 100%
Bond will always be Sean then Daniel….

BTW, nice pun…

The Rolex Explorer was the watch Fleming described in the James Bond novels and after his death, the watch resurfaced in 1981. During the “Fleming 100th anniversary” exhibition, this Rolex Explorer 1016, case number 596851 was on display at the Imperial War Museum from May 2008 to March 2009.
