Wow that's some crazy money for a Seamaster! How limited is it? For that money I'd expect piece unique...
its not limited, just numbered. I would be very curious to see the sales figure of this model....

Has anyone ever seen it in the metal? Could be a pure promotional model to try and pull up the image of the Seamaster line.

I know it's in platinum but for that money I'd at least expect it on a full blown platinum bracelet. Unless there's some adamantium hidden inside that rubber/leather bracelet... but still not worth it.

The 42mm 2500 PO worn by Craig in QoS has been my main daily watch for the last 8 years.
For me it is a perfect watch in terms of versatility, size, accuracy and readability.

come on man, 5508 is the only bond watch that counts.

Wrong forum (or at least, sub forum) to say so.

I love Omega's (have bought and sold many, own some now too) -- but let's be honest with ourselves! Omega was a corporate sponsor in the Pierce Brosnan era.

^ i thought the choice of Omega was made by the costume designer. She remembers seeing a seamaster worn by a relative with the Royal Navy. As at one point, Omega was an official supplier to the navy.

Mr Biver, then CEO, just took advantage afterwards.

Since i was growing up when Pierce Brosnan was Bond, the SMP Diver 300 of Goldeneye was THE bond watch for me.

But if we are to go rolex, it’s either the Explorer (in the novels) or the Submariner 6538 or 5510 which is THE bond watch.

How much is the suitcase worth?

And it’s not even largely Pt. If’s described as Pt-Au.
Maybe the suitcase is in platinum? Then it's starting to make sense!

I guess this thread also depends on WHO you think THE Bond is.... ::stirthepot:: Lazenby anyone?
