·Great read. Thank you
Great article Robert, thank you. A very fine watch indeed. One thing though that I believe was not discussed here is the buckle. While narrower, it looks as thick as the buckle made for the 57 trilogy. Do you confirm please?
I heard that Omega is having an event in Zurich. I heard from an OB manager and the rumor has it that 2 models will be announced soon. Maybe not today though
Thank you RJ for your great writeup! Having read your article I am wondering about one point which has not been discussed: The size of the pushers. While the BA 145.022 has pushers of Type 4 „Wide & Tall“ according to MWO the size of the pushers of the 2019 Gold Speedmaster Apollo XI appears to be more like the size of the pushers on reference 105.012 (Type 3. „Wide & Short“ according to MWO). The reference 105.012 has been in production between 1964 and 1968, that is before the production of the BA145.022 between 1969 and 1973. Did OMEGA elaborate on this difference of the pushers and the reason for not reproducing pushers of the same size as the BA145.022 during their product presentation in Bienne?
The new ceramic bezel looks amazing... and probably fits better as ceramic material to the Gold case.
(Was the fact of the frequent lost bezels on these Gold Speedies not related to the fit between Aluminium & Gold ?)
Edit: R-J ordered in such a way to have at least matching numbers I suppose 👎
The event in Zurich is only for retailers and nothing will be announced during this event. The event for press will be in May.
I have different information but let's just leave it there 😉

Oh, there will be new models for sure, I am just saying that the thing in Zurich is only for retailers and not meant to introduce new models to the world (yet).
Wow, for an 18K solid gold watch that's an impressive turnaround time if true, no Baselworld required.
