When you take a wrist shot at the symphony to post on OF

Then your wife asks for you to take one of hers to post on OF

I can use tourbillion in a sentence.
Me too! Say I'm at Graceland about to see the King's house, and I ask the guide at the entrance "Hey, does this tourbillion time? I don't want to be late."

In May I'll be driving to an as yet unknown destination to have lunch at an as yet unknown restaurant with a group of OF members that I've never met before - to talk about watches. And here's the kicker: I organized the event. 😲

Anyone who attends the symphony and loves vintage watches is someone that I need to add to my roster of friends.

Watching TV with Mrs. Blufinz I say "That's a GMT Master II he's wearing."

I did exactly this while watching "Best of The Worst" on YouTube with my girlfriend yesterday. A GMT-Master too, possibly transitional 🤦🤦

Love it! The symphony is one of the few times where I feel "right" wearing a nice watch. Been too many years since I've attended. Need to change that

In my opera-going days seated up in "the gods" there were not only only full folio scores being followed but chronographs to check the conductor's tempo. Jeans and parkas were the normal dress up there in a Boston winter 😁

You make your own parts bin watches, your wife confirms that they are ugly, and you still wear them!

You find this in your jacket pocket and it makes your day!
Lol- I found a ziplock of NOS Snorkel
crowns in a jacket pocket a year after I got them- I thought I had thrown them out with the packaging (and tore the trash apart looking for them) not realizing I had opened the package and shoved them in my pocket.

Got watch based ‘saved seller’ and ‘saved searches’ on eBay that I look at too often.

It was the first one we had been to since pre- Covid. Had a good box with quick access to the bathrooms, lounge and exit (although the musicians still beat us to the parking garage).
We are lucky enough here in Baltimore to still have a world class orchestra- lots have disappeared in the last decade.
Support live music folks, or it will be a thing of the past!

Amen to that - I’m lucky also to make live music with young people as a job. Looking forward to wearing my FOIS to conduct a school concert tomorrow - Sibelius #5!
