Need a new strap for my 66 Seamaster. Can't decide whether to stick with black leather or try something else. Any suggestions?

Dress it up a little with black lizard skin strap.

little less dressy. Brown lizard. No tans or coloured straps

Exactly. Depends how you’d like to wear it.
Black looks more dressy but this one looks too puffy.

For something a tad more adapted to daily wear I would do matte brown crocodile, completely flat.

Go to the website for Artisan Watch Straps (Australia). You’ll find many great choices there. And if Jayson doesn’t have it in stock, he’ll custom make it for you.

I'm not a fan of black straps as I think the strap should match the shoes/belt and I mostly wear brown shoes in the office. I wear brown or blue straps on my gold watches. Crocodile or lizard is too classic for me, so I wear normal calfskin...attached are a few impressions:

+1 for flat, matte brown croc. And preferably stitchless too - pic from a Vietnamese strapmaker I've used who's good value for money.

A hint of red goes well with gold cases I think. Is it called Burgundy?
