Strange Omega constellation pie pan dial writing?

Hello all,

Could you please give me your advice on this case?

The straight police is really strange.

Either it's the rarest constellation pie pan dial of the history 😉

What are your thoughts?

I would start by finding the reference(s) of watches that you are after. Narrow it down to a few. Then find high quality images of known legit examples here on OF. Then you can do a side-by-side comparison with prospective watches to easily weed out the bad redials before asking here for further information.

I think I already have a kind of awareness about what could be wrong. On both case the writing and mentioned it.
I know also that sometimes something can seems fake (long E, straight writing,...) is just a matter of market, production etc...I just want a confirmation, or more....the confirmation I was wrong and that the watch is legit.

I made tons of comparisons.before to send these 2 short listed. I am in the watch passion since 2009 and started I was 30...so have some reflexes

Just needed your expertise guys because not a omega single brand expert and omega has >1000 ref I guess ...

Was about to ask help again but will find another way

No need to run off. We're trying to help. As you say, Omega has lots of references so best to just choose a few and research them thoroughly. As you probably know, vintage watches can be a minefield so if you don't want to weed through eBay then stick to the For Sale section here on OF and the vintage recommendation thread to get started.

I think you need to look at more watches if you thought for a second that those two watches might be legit. And if you didn't think they were legit, why post them? Just keep looking until you find one that looks good to you.

It's not a matter of 1000 references, just some basic knowledge about typography. Pick a few references and look at a few dozen examples, it's not that hard. Almost everyone here collects multiple brands of watches, but we study and learn. You can do it too.
