Speedy winding time

My speedy does not seem to keep running long after I have put it away.
How long of wearing it does it take to have a full wind?
How long should it keep time after laying to rest?

how many times did you wind it when you put it on? What kind of watch model is it? You can't expect a dead watch to maintain much power reserve unless you give it a little wind to get it going then over the course of the day it should retain power but give it a good wind.

3523.30 Triple. I do not wear it daily. I had it put away for about 5 days after a day of wearing it, and riding , and it stopped after day two of being put away. According to the date and time stopped.

typically power reserve is around 40-60 hours depends on movement caliber so if day 2 I wouldn't see that as an issue.

Can a winder case do harm over time? What I mean is, would a watch that was to be put away for say 4 months at a time, be better off in the box or a winder?

I recommend winding a watch every month to get the oils and stuff in the right places. A winder will of course put some wear on some of the parts but on average it is safe. It's rather hard to know what letting a watch sit still will do but just be sure to give it a wind or winder every so often.

Thanks. I think I will go the cheap route for now and just wind it every now and then.

So......best way to put away in the safe? I do not have the box for this watch. So far I am just wrapping in a Microfiber cloth.

Your watch has a Cal. 1151 (ETA 7750 base movement) inside - power reserve on this is 44 hours per Omega, but they will often run for 48 or sometimes a bit more. Your watch is fine.
