Oh my 😵‍💫 I begin to wonder if there will be any nice, affordable and available special editions for the simple Speedmaster & space race enthusiast in the future...

So what time exactly did it go live?

Went live around noon (12:00) CET, both on Omegawatches.com as well as Fratello. And probably others...

I hit the “reveal price” on the website…..

Then quickly hit the “hide the price”

That’s not a pretty sight in Australia dollars 🤦🤦

I got very excited for a moment - looks great and would be a fantastic addition to a Speedmaster collection. But $81k - 10k more than a full gold AP Royal Oak flyback chrono 🤨

This is starting to feel like Deja Vu. I stopped buying Rolex and started buying Omega because of Rolex ridiculous pricing. Really a $81,000 watch in Canopus Gold that similar to their Stainless Steel Heritage 57 for $7250. Funny thing, I actually prefer the 57 dial. I think I'll buy the Heritage 57 and then go purchase a Brand New $73,750 car. Sorry don't mean to be negitive but I just can't that excited over a watch that I would never buy, even if I won the Lottery.

$81K just for the change over to precious metal - and 1 sapphire, made me sputter over my morning coffee! Agreed, the "feel" would end up being very hefty indeed, but so is the price tag. Omega, give us a LE for us space/racing enthusiasts - are you listening? Don't Rolex us!

The Platinum 321 was not released on the first Tuesday of 2019, in fact it was released precisely on July 20 2019, on the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11. The announcement that the 321 would be remanufactured was earlier, but nobody knew the official details of the first platinum watch until July 20, 2019.
My mistake. I was going off of bad information, and didnt check my sources.

Sure, it’s $81k, but you get a sapphire crystal! Is there a “milky ring”, or did Omega figure out how to build a better dome?

I have one word for this release: irrelevant.

I am wondering if Omega really has enough customers willing to drop 50-100k for an Omega watch and - because of a limited supply (limited editions or complex tourbillons in that price range) - they can't satisfy the demand, hence this thing. Or is this a marketing move to make us feel that way? 😕

😕

A rare recent miss…the other special releases seem to be very in tune with the Speedmaster crowd.

White gold and broad arrows? Should have just made it two tone, 44.5mm case, 21mm lug width while at it 😁 all the most popular options..

I think this is targeted to the female demo

One more rant and I'm done. The new release at $81,000 actually makes the White dial Canopus Gold a great value at $45,300. Which I would prefer. Sorry Omega just not seeing the $81k price tag on this one.

It’s a lovely design but at that price it’s a bit laughable tbh.
