Well, on a positive note, production should be able to keep up demand...
One more rant and I'm done. The new release at $81,000 actually makes the White dial Canopus Gold a great value at $45,300. Which I would prefer. Sorry Omega just not seeing the $81k price tag on this one.
Got the ST 1 and ST 2 at slight (about 10%) markup, way below the current street values. My beauty sleep is too important!
Glad I made the right decision and got a nice nights sleep. I think one thing is pretty clear, the era of affordable AND readily available 'special' Speedmasters is over. Unfortunately it seems that Omega has gone full Rolex in these areas. Time to enjoy the dozen I have, including a 1957 Trilogy that is a joy to wear, and still reasonably priced on the secondary market.

Back to ST3 predictions (aside from the possibly higher price.) How about next Tuesday, the second Tuesday of the month? With this new canopus 321 it's understandable why Omega would not also release the ST3. So, it still seems possible for an ST3 this year?
I don’t believe anyone has mentioned that there are now 3 models dipping in the 321 bucket of movements
Presumably, Omega’s *aspiration* to build *up to* 2000 321B/year now has an additional mouth at the table
Perhaps the Platinum 321 is the better comparison, from inside the minds of Omega: it also contains the 321, and is $60K on a strap; an additional $20K for the bracelet and exclusivity is the resulting view, perhaps?
Not to defend the view, but only to try and make any sense of it n
no doubt, if I was a precious metal queen, the extra $40K for this 321 would seem peculiar

Its probably a Marketing Ploy , so they can keep up with the Big Boys & I doubt Omega are seriously thinking its going to be a big seller . Which begs the question , how many need to be sold for it to be seen as a successful model by Omega , 20-30 or 5-6 Hundred a year ( Which I doubt they could supply )
Anything is possible but I think it is pretty clear that affordable special editions like the ST1 and ST2 just aren't the business model Omega is going to follow going forward. The target audience now is not the sort that is here on OF who collect watches as a passion and hobby, the target is new people with lots of spare cash looking for expensive status symbols. A completely different market.
Maybe you are right, but the year has just started, lets see what Omega has prepaired for the "normal folks" for 2022.
