Their web site person is dyslectic. The watch is only $18,000. I picked up 3 of them. The correct price comes up when you put it in your cart.

(not really)

they certainly don't want another Snoopy release which has turned into a real dog's breakfast.

I see what you did there.

Although the desire & search or hunt for a new watch might be more exciting & satisfying than actually buying it... the best advice remains:
Do enjoy the things You already have, especially if there's a Speedmaster among it which You have been wearing for the best part of Your life
(in my case I wore my first Speedy for 22 years straight before it needed a service)... no need for anything new !

I can't help but notice we have 2 outstanding repros of the 2915, a superb repro of the 105.003...so whats next? FINALLY a worthy 2998 repro?

I feel like it should also be reiterated that the typical, standard-issue Speedmaster has already been a fantastic watch from 1957 till today. This new 1957 Trilogy Speedmaster is a pretty piece, but it is simply just one of many in a family of already exceptional watches. If Omega wants to pump out a dozen ultra-precious Speedmasters to appeal to a very niche portion of their clientele, it doesn't have to affect your enjoyment of whatever timepieces you already own and enjoy.

You don’t like the FOIS? I suppose the mixed hand styles annoy some purists it’s true but Omega themselves seemed unsure what was best for the 2998, there were 8 original versions after all (9 if you include the v similar 105.002). I too would love see a faithfully recreated black dial lollipop 2998 though!

Anyway... although some were feeling unsatisfied, disappointed or even irritated (not everyone follows Instagram) as they more than probably expected another Speedmaster release on the first #SpeedyTuesday of the new year... at least the community has been talking about it.
So greater expectations & higher hopes for all the 2022 anniversaries mentioned before:
50 years Apollo 17
50 years Alaska II
60 years FOIS
10 years #SpeedyTuesday
🍿

And 3 years since I got my first Speedy, don’t forget that anniversary.

I think Tuesday 2/22/22 is a good date to announce ST3...
Except in the civilised world it would be written 22/2/22 😉

good one! But this one is still easy - what is always wild is the first 12 days of each month 🤨

I'm thinking they would want to try a different form factor. Then I thought about the MKII is overlooked but a 'sleeping' classic.

Then...realized it will be 2/22/22. So, maybe a MK II? Would be a bold move but would be different than all the variations of the Moonwatch we have had recently.

Random guess.

There’s no way the ST3 will be 321 based unless it’s like 10 years from now and Omega has satisfied current demand. It’s going to be 3861 based.
There is no way one can tell what Omega will do, unless its Omega. 😀

True, but we can use recent history and statements made by Omega to make a prediction. We know Omega isn't churning out 321 movements based on the number SS Ed Whites and platinum Speedy Pro's being released along with the CEO saying they can only make about 2000 321's a year if at full capacity. Releasing an ST3 with a 321 is going to overwhelm the production unless Omega plans on only making an extremely limited # of ST3's or stopping production of their other 321 Speedmasters. I don't see either really happening.

well it has been 60 years since Omega offered their Speedmaster with a Decimal, Pulsometer and/or Telemeter bezel...
Nowadays Speedmasters are still delivered in huge boxes but there's no possibility for an extra practical bezel to be included into the set ?
