Another one listed tonight on TZ for £7.4k and a fair amount of abuse being thrown around.

Interesting change of direction, the last few sold fairly quickly.

Abuse on TZ-UK? Never...

I'm sorry, I know I haven't seen it, but the ST isn't worth £8000 IMO. Not many watches are of course, but when the standard model is SO good for £3540 (available for less than that of course), I don't see the value in the ST.

And the Snoopy wasn't worth £20k but some idiots paid that for it...

I got a lot of peanuts, I've been feeding them to the birds in the backyard. Should I be selling them? 😕

The honeymoon phase over by day two already?......I must say, and it's been said before in this thread a few times and unfortunately I'm starting to agree; the legibility is not that great. I've been noticing I'm double taking when looking at the time almost every time. I really hope this doesn't sway me from keeping it :-(

I do agree, BUT - Readability is over valued... 😜

It's simply one of the visually most stunnig Speedmasters ever produced! At least for me... 😉

Most of the time I have no problem reading the time at all but let's be realistic, we didn't buy a reverse panda speedy for the readability. We bought it because it looks great. If I want to wear a legible watch I'll wear my speedy pro.

Don't worry, thats a phase we must go through, you'll come out the other side just as I did 😉 I did feel legibility was a problem, yet now I have no problem with it whatsoever. I think you just get used to it, and after wearing a CWC pilots chrono for the past few months it did take some adjustment.

A morning view:

You getting on better with it now pianomankd? Remember you mentioning you were finding legibility a bit of an issue.

It's a beautiful watch, don't get me wrong. But if the legibility of a watch for doing what it's supposed to do; tell time, is a little strange, well that's what caused me concern. Maybe I just need to get used to it.....

While I wait patiently for my e-mail - I'm in the 1700s - I read the various posts here with great interest and I'm especially intrigued by pianomankd's comments on legibility. I don't feel this will be a problem for me, having being 'trained' by ownership of my Breitling 816 - see how you go on trying to figure out what the hell it's reading!
