I'm considering getting this new set while I search for a more classic collectors piece.
I would think that maybe this set adds some value like that NATO strap which is $200 on its own I think.
It is also seems like a better quality box rather than the crappy pleather red box that goes crap after a few years.

I always wonder what goes through the mind of someone that searches for and then brings back a thread this old.

As a fairly new Omega fan, I'm glad someone resurrected this thread as it helped me realize the old and new reference are similar/same.

The new wood boxes are really nice.

This one doesnt come with a wood box. Rather sth like this (taken form internet - WUS forum):

I think it is really good value for the money if you ask me.

Understood, I was referring to the "crappy pleather red box" mentioned in the post I quoted.

Other than the packaging, does anyone know if Omega changed anything in the watch when they changed the reference number?

Is it preferred to get the older or new reference?

I think that the only difference there is the new bracelet has screws and the old one had pins.

The older 3570 will be a little less expensive now, especially since you'll have to find it on the secondhand market, but it's pretty much the same watch.

Thanks. Sounds like 3570 is a better value then, especially since there seem to be many used options available.

Are screws better than pins? If so, how?

I am also interested in the differences of the bracelet. Is it just the screws, or does it have a new design altogether?

Can somebody provide pictures?
Appreciated!!
