311 is the speedmaster then 30 is bracelet while a 32 would designate a leather strap and 42 is the size but I have no clue the rest lol

 

Not only that, look at everything it comes with now: a new box, NATO strap, Velcro strap, bracelet tool, Speedmaster book. Really pulling out all the stops.

According to the "Moonwatch Only" book (also known around here as the Speedy Bible), the PIC 14 system includes the type of movement and complications as well:




I am not sure about the 005 meaning Hesalite there dsio...my Speedy Tintin code is 311.30.42.30.01.004, and it has a Hesalite crystal as well. I think it refers to the subtle differences between Moonwatch models, only known to the Omega Gods in Switzerland...

The new reference numbers should only be for service center watchmakers. Just change it from 3570.50.00 to 357500.

 

This is the new box, i called Omega and got a retail price of $5250.
Seems to be exactly the same as the 3570.50.00.

 

I like that Velcro and NATO. Can we get them separately?

I was debating this for a while. I went ahead and got a new 3570.50 for 3250 from my AD ( shipped). I think this is good considering the fact that resale value is going to go up ( hopefully)

 

I love that box, and the goodies that come with it. Sans watch, its around $700 USD. My AD has been teasing me saying they are getting one next week and that I have first dibs. I don't think they realize I'm flat broke after buying watches!

 

Does anyone know if the new bracelet has screws instead of pins? I also heard that the clasp may be different. I haven't been able to find any photos online of the bracelet or clasp to see if they have changed.

 

It has screws instead of Pins . I don't think the clasp or bracelet is different. My FAD offered the piece for $4750 shipped.

The new bracelet multi screw/pin system is much easier to adjust.

 

I think it's a paperweight.

 

I always wonder what goes through the mind of someone that searches for and then brings back a thread this old.
