his motto is 'original and bespoke timepieces'

Bespoke is an adjective for anything commissioned to a particular specification. It may be altered or tailored to the customs, tastes, or usage of an individual purchaser.

well then....there you have it. is this one original or bespoke?

down to £4800 without much effort

Don't make a transaction unless it's through PayPal. PayPal just like EBay offers protection.

For that price, I will sell you mine for 4.

FWIW, you really don't see many Franken 145.022-69 Speedies (yet) because they are so plentiful. Perhaps the bezel or bracelet was added to make the watch more correct but the guts, movement #, dial, case are generally original.

That being said, because the reference is widely available, why take a chance on a seller who lacks integrity?

So readily available?? Is that why the 145.022-69's have been steadily increasing in price?? I guess it's the opposite of what I learned in economics all those years ago.

You shouldn't need to pay more than $4500-$5000 for a very clean and all original DON 145.022-69.

Agreed price for this speedy 69.......anyone see any issues concerns...other than a clean and service.

Look at the perlage on the inside caseback in photo #3. Looks like it was done by a 5th grader with a dremel. I think that's a pretty good sign of trickery if the perlage isn't a clean, uniform, overlapping pattern. Also, if this guy truly had an all original DON in that condition in the UK, he wouldn't need to bring his price down almost £1500 without much effort from a buyer. Just my opinions of course.

Buy from a trusted seller and you can't go wrong. Don't base your decision on how low he goes.

well, relative to their 321 siblings, they are more common... not that this makes them common in general, especially nice (and honest) ones.

Normally I would be happy to get a 10% drop. He moved 17% so fast it made me suspicious. Unless you stay within the OF it is hard to know if a seller is trustworthy. Turned to the OF members and their laser sharp wit and experience.😉

I was thinking about making an offer on the perfect 105.012 he has for sale and a very nice member here gave me the same warning. I'm passing. Thanks to the members here watching each other's back.

You're gonna get screwed by the seller. He was banned here for all the dirty shit he did to members, and he's STILL at it. Next message you send him, call him "dablitzer" and see how he reacts.

He has a LONG history of dubious transactions - ain't that right @cell1010?

It's a watch put together from parts that were in nice shape. DON'T BUY IT!!!!
This one is actually different from the other franken he was selling by the looks but its still stupidly overpriced and from someone nobody should ever buy a watch off. The experience we just had was that after a guy paid by bank transfer Alex demanded he delete the thread that criticised that watch explaining it was an assembly of parts he bought off eBay put together for sale as original and refused to give him his money back until that happened. Naturally we un-deleted it as soon as the guy did get his cash back but that's how this guy operates, the history he has is terrible.

Here's the thread that had to go on "holiday" for a week or so while the buyer's money was held over his head:

Oh crap! Thought you were telling a story from two years ago until I click on that thread.

@Spacefruit, you should take note of this seller, lest you forget him when you see his watches.

I found them readily available. Perhaps you need to hunt harder: 😀

How often does a trusted dealer have a private auction and another dealer is the winner of said auction, just to list it within a week for more? It appears to me that the so called trusted dealer is trying to maximize his profits or just down right shady!!

Is a bit peculiar. Current owner could be just looking to flip it for a quick 10 - 20%.

Different locations. The Ebay seller also sells lots of watches here.
