Agreed price for this speedy 69.......anyone see any issues concerns...other than a clean and service.
You're gonna get screwed by the seller. He was banned here for all the dirty shit he did to members, and he's STILL at it. Next message you send him, call him "dablitzer" and see how he reacts. He has a LONG history of dubious transactions - ain't that right @cell1010? It's a watch put together from parts that were in nice shape. DON'T BUY IT!!!!
Correct @Geordie vision vintage is the seller. He is selling it on ebay so I contacted him directly and he reduced the price to more inline guide prices. Seemed a bit to good to be true, hence the post here.....
You ain't kidding! That's INSANE! For less than that money, you could get what looks like an honest watch right here off our Sales Forum: https://omegaforums.net/threads/1966-omega-speedmaster-105-012-cb-vintage-watch-ghost-bezel.40635/
That's how he screws you - you have no buyer's protection outside of eBay. That's EXACTLY how he operates. Don't be taken in by the condition because it's a frankenwatch.
Last offer was 4500GBP but could not trust him based on the feedback.......going keep the cash in my pocket for another day. Thanks guys......feel like I dodged one here............OF members are a class bunch
FWIW, you really don't see many Franken 145.022-69 Speedies (yet) because they are so plentiful. Perhaps the bezel or bracelet was added to make the watch more correct but the guts, movement #, dial, case are generally original. That being said, because the reference is widely available, why take a chance on a seller who lacks integrity?
Offer him £1 and see what happens. Tell him it's the standard Omega Forums offer for substandard watches.
Might keep him on the hook and see how low he will go. Then offer him £1 @ulackfocus Unfortunately majority of watches for sale on the OF are located in the US. Import duty to UK is a killer. Might be a good thing or I'd already be on a 2nd watch box
