Nice review and both are some of my favorite watches. I think it's a bit like comparing a .45 Colt M1911A1 to a 9mm Browning M35 HiPower. Both are simple yet ingenious designs built for functionality, reliability and longevity. Both are classics in their own right, both used for similar tasks and both have their devotees and detractors. The bottom line is, you really need both.
Yep, you really do. One for water, one for land. And both for cool! Great write-up. I really enjoyed it.
I wear similar these days (the 114060 and a 321) and both and both get about as much wrist time as each other. I couldn't do without either to be honest. Both different sit and feel different on the wrist for me but I couldn't be without both.
blubarb, any chance to see a wrist shot of the 114060? I own a 3570.50 and am considering a 114060 for the collection.
Here's a recent predecessor of the 114060. I think they are nearly identical. The newer model might have a four line dial and an engraved rehaut but I can't remember.
Neither. More likely to wear a Britetling or if he or she is really cool an IWC Portuguese chronograph...if really cool a LE blue dial Laureus
the submariner is good in your U-boat too. if you have a minor hull breach, and if you have some fresh water to wash off the salt.
Close...the 114060 has a slightly different ratio Lug to bracelet, making it more square...and the crown protectors are also remarkably larger than the 14060.
