Speedmaster Ultraman Serial Number Ranges?

All, curious on Ultraman serial number ranges. I've seen some older posts / resources (https://speedmaster101.com/blog/ultraman-resource-page/) indicating serial ranges in 26,076,xxx-26,079,xxx but I'm not sure if that is old information and how strict the serial range should be. Meanwhile I've seen other listings / websites indicating ultramans outside of this range (ie., earlier serial ranges 26,071 / 26,073, 26,074, etc). Here is a list with an example from auction an auction from Bonhams as well:

https://www.watchfid.com/omega-speedmaster-ultraman/
https://www.bonhams.com/auction/276...ltraman-ref-st-145012-produced-16th-may-1968/

I guess my question is, without EoA now, I don't know if we'll ever be able to get confirmation from Omega themselves but are the ultraman strictly in the 26,076,xxx-26,079,xxx serial ranges or can the watches have serial numbers as early as the 26,071 / 26,073, 26,074 serial numbers as indicated in the watchfid site?

Dunno but I’d trust an auction house as far as I could throw them. Even an extract is no real confirmation with an Ultraman. It’s an emperors new clothes type watch. Many extracts are not legit and were not based on records, more like probability and photos. Or nudges, winks and back handers from, yes you guessed it auction houses. Would I buy an Ultraman? yes. Would I pay a premium? No.

Look closely at the dial, serial number range, hands, etc. If absolutely everything isn't right, price it as a 145.012, including being picky about condition. At least, that's what I would do. The UM frenzy is over, don't overpay.

Are you referring to the satin black dial for the UM? Do they all need to have the satin black?
