Speedmaster Reduced - loose pusher cap

Hi all, the cap on the start/ stop chrono pusher of my 39mm Speedmaster has somehow come loose. Any thoughts on how I could tighten this, preferably without removing the movement? I presume it’s not as simple as tightening the cap by turning it clockwise? Thanks in advance for your advice.

The movement would have to be removed...there is a screw on the inside of the case that need to be tightened.

Thanks, really appreciate the information. And it seems that at least no serious damage has occurred.
