Speedmaster Pro Moonwatch on Alligator + Deployant question!!

Looking to purchase https://www.omegawatches.com/en-us/...professional-chronograph-42-mm-31133423001001 over the bracelet version because I was gonna buy the OEM alligator strap + clasp for it right away until I figured out this was an actual model!

Now here's my only gripe.. I have small wrists.. somewhere around 6.5" ish and I'm scared that it won't fit my wrist right. Is there anyone else on the forums that has a similar wrist size that can provide me with some hopefully positive information about my dilemma?

I'm only skeptical because of the countless posts I read about smaller wrist-ed individuals not being able to find a comfortable fit using a deployant clasp, nonetheless most of the posts were about AFTERMARKET clasps and not the OEM ones so I was hoping I could find some answers here. Pics would be awesome too!

Thanks in advance!

You should order 115/75 or 110/70 strap size instead on 120/80 normal length and it will be perfect for your wrist.

I'm assuming the models all come with the normal 120/80 length so I would have to pay extra for the 115/75 or 110/70 strap size correct?

If you have ordered through an AD or OB then you can also request smaller size with the watch and they will deliver your watch with smaller size strap.

This is not true of the deploy straps. Because of the Omrga clasp design the standard lengths are 105/100, while the short length models are 100/95.
Also for smaller wrists the shorter clasp should be a bit more comfortable. The standard black alligator steal that comes in with the speedmaster sets is a 20mm taper to 16mm at the clasp and a 94521613 standard length omega deploy clasp. The short model of that clasp is 94521633.

This is not an official policy, but rather a common courtesy. Also I'm not sure if Omega makes a short version of the 20/16 alligator strap, but I do know that a 6.5" wrist will either be on the smallest or second to smallest hole. The gator straps also fit smaller than similarly sized rubber/leather/cordura deploy straps, with a larger fit of each strap for standard length increasing respectively.

If you're going to order through an AD they should have a few models available with the standard clasp and strap to try on.

Standard length OEM deployant strap on my 6.5 inch wrist. If you can get a shorter strap, it would be a better fit. I am on the last hole, and I wish there was one more on cold days.

I’m sorry. I didn’t know about that. Thanks for correcting me. Seasons Greetings!!

Sometimes pictures are helpful. Here’s a standard length Omega alligator strap used with an Omega clasp:

And here’s the short length strap:

(The straps in the pictures are 18/16mm width, but the length will be the same for the 20/16mm you are interested in)

The Omega black croc band is available in both, 20/18 and 20/16 mm styles, the deployant for each is different. If you want a smaller fit the 20/16 is a good idea as the deployant is smaller (accepts 16mm bands); the down side to buying the 20/16 with the smaller deployant is that most bands (Omega and aftermarket) are 20/18 and then the deployant will not work.

What he said. If you have smaller wrists, get the 20/16 deployant and associated straps.

Thanks for the advice all. I just ordered the 20/16 strap and deployant with my AD. I guess I gotta be on the hunt for some good 20/16 aftermarket bands then, although I'm sure I'll be extremely satisfied with the OEM black croc for a while..
