Question: What year was the Omega Speedmaster Pro Moonwatch presentation box set first offered?

You can do a lot of things with the shoe-Speedy-box ;-)

That is a great collection but it also serves to illustrate just how excessively capacious it is for one watch...

I really like this idea.
Was it you that made that made the thread, with the guide as to how you made it?
Or was that someone else...

Now, that's a great idea!! The presentation box is quite a "wow" factor when you first unbox the watch, but after a while it just seems to take up space. I think I might just give this a try.

I always wondered what I would do with that box.. thanks for the idea! Very nice collection by the way - I really love the snoopy watches you've got.

No, sir...I purchased the 311.33.42.30.01.001 reference which is with the leather strap. So I just went to the Omega site [pictured below] and it appears as if this reference is no longer available...hmmm. 😵‍💫

Same in Canada. A jeweler friend with an Omega Canada connection has since October tried to get me this very watch. It has ‘been on backorder’ all this time. At 35% less than retail, the price was, to say the least, killer. And within my champagne taste/beer budget. Alas, I learned on Tuesday this is simply not going to transpire. Not available, I was told.

Cos, in many instances, things were better then! For me the new (big) box doesn't add any value and I'm glad my most modern Speedy came in the 'little' red box, and, as it's dimensionally sweet, I forgive it its propensity to peel. And, yes, if I could, I'd have Windows 98, which worked supremely well for me, (though I'd agree that 3.1 was a bit 'challenging' at times).

And, like MD, if I wanted another contemporary Speedy, I'd be seeking one on a strap - aesthetically so much better to my eye.

Im really digging that black and orange strap on the Ultraman, is that an OEM or aftermarket and if so can you point me in the right direction. Thank you good sir.

A more interesting question should be: When will the shoebox be replaced by a cube crater box for the Speedmaster Moonwatch ?

More than likely there’ll be a gold cube crater box for the new gold 321 Speedmaster 😗
