Where? on eBay??
How about here to keep it in the house? 馃槈 Should we petition the bosses to allow some sort of open bidding in the Sales forum? I'd love to see something like that happening.

Its something we've been putting some work into, but we're not going to be bringing it in until we've got it right. For now eBay for auctions and FS here are straight prices.

Until some bidding system exists, just a reply to the sale post with an offer should be good enough. This is simple and open, and I've seen it done somewhere.

We won't be doing that for the time being

So is that bezel confirmed as original?? I.e not a replica?
I'd be fairly certain its not a replica knowing the source of the watch

Just thought I'd let anyone interested know that we've put the bezel up for auction on eBay. Please let me know if I've said anything incorrect 馃榾

Now, let the sharks circle! 馃槣

Look at this on eBay:

Best of luck. I suspect this will go for more than I'm willing to spend even though it would look very nice indeed on my watch.

You don't describe it with much detail, which is probably fine since those willing to bid at the insane levels I expect this will go for will know what it is. Search performance may improve if you included the reference numbers this bezel is correct for: 2915-3, 2998-1, 2998-2.

One question, did you take steps to make the colors as accurate as possible, i.e., set the white balance? I'm struggling to see the actual color of the bezel since it seems to vary a bit by shot. Even if just here, a shot in sunlight would be interesting.

Cheers

Thanks for the tips 馃榾 will definitely add the reference numbers. It is certainly short and sweet - I just wasn't sure what more to say!

I had all kinds of trouble photographing it. I think when it's on the actual watch it's the best indication of colour. I didn't touch any balance/filters or anything - And will head outside now to take some pics.

Cheers 馃榾

It looks like a bit of an adulterated watch to me. Case back suggests pre moon ie before 1967 but dial doesn't fit that age. Could be a service dial. Chrono hand probably replaced as have crown and possibly pushers. Bezel from much earlier model if it's real. If it is real it could be valuable but odd to see one on this later piece.

Just my thoughts but hopefully some more experienced members chime in here.

Caseback is correct for the 145.022 69-ST. The dial looks stepped in the photos as it should be.
Nice watch, only way to make sure is checking out the movement which I would believe is an 861 Calibre.

It is a nice ending to this story. It is nice to see that people are still willing to help complete strangers without taking advantage of them. 馃榾
