Hello guys, I recently got this Seamaster with an engraving that said the 30th anniversary of Caltex Philippines, along with the name Domingo L. Ramos. The engraving says "Caltex Philippines 30 Years" and appears to be an official company-issued piece, perhaps for a special occasion or as a limited edition.

I'm curious if anyone here has seen this model or knows about its background. Specifically, I’d appreciate any insights on its market or historical value and any details about Domingo L. Ramos and his connection to this watch.

Not anything special. Just a gift watch for an employee for his 30 years of service for the Caltex company before his retirement. It carries sentimental value only. IMO it is less valuable than an exactly same watch without engraving.

Looks like Seamaster DeVille ref 166.020 solid gold case, you can see hallmark lower left lug on your caseback photo. May be cal 563 inside- you need watchmaker to open as it is a front opener and requires special tools/technique to open- date on back 1965 so probably from 65-66 you will know for sure from serial number inside. 14k or 18 k gold will be marked inside caseback or possibly between lugs. May be gold dial as well- or some pretty dramatic uniform patina! Dial and case condition look worn, but may be scratches on crystal reflections- need better photos.

So maybe it seems "not anything special" to last poster, but it is a solid gold case with likely very good movement inside- enjoy and post some more photos once you get it opened up. Some like engravings as reflection of life of a watch, some don't, just personal preference.

Welcome to OF and stick around!
