Speedmaster part identification

Hi all,

I recently acquired a mixed lot of vintage Speedmaster parts from a 2998 and MKII. One of the items in the group is an aluminum spacer or chapter ring, although the finish is not polished. Size is 35.5mm on outer portion of the ring. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Update: I got a response from a watchmaker that this is a spacer ring that goes under the crystal on a MKII. Thanks for the responses on this!
