This Speedmaster model Omega 321, 39,7mm, 16,700.€ is attractive because of the movement and the size (but not because of the price !)
I wonder if the movement 321 today has evolved compared to the historic 321 of the sixties ?
Is it worth the difference with the normal Speedmaster 42mm Moonwatch, cal 3861 co-axial .. 7,500.€ ...more than. double thus ..? Or is it only a matter of intellectual and aesthetical interest .. no technical interest ..

There are various threads discussing pros and cons (mostly grumbling about price and availability) on the reintroduced Ed White 321. Whether it is worth the price difference to you depends on whether you understand or care about the whole 321 package or not (aesthetics and history). Some do, some don't. If you just want a Speedmaster in a similar case size pick up a pre-owned FOIS with the 1861 movement and be happy.

Owners of the Ed White 321 know there is no real technical update to the 321 movement, that was by design by Omega and appreciated by the buyers. It does have a longer mainspring allowing a +60 hour power reserve, but that's about it. Owners of this watch didn't buy it for its technical prowess or the 'hand assembled' gimmick, no one shat themselves.
