Speedmaster 1450 bracelets -- coveted, or overrated?

The 1447 is more rare than the 1450. It is just the first solid link bracelet with all brushed finished so it is a mix of the contruction of the 1171 and the 1479 all in one
Is the 1450 all brushed finished as well?

Good day,

I just want to asked if this bracelet is a legit or original 1447 (805 end Links). Is the watch is also original?

Thanks

Yes seems to be a 1447/805 bracelet. Nice pickup!

Hello OF,
Old topic but I have a question linked to it: does one of the happy owners of a 1450/808 could tell me if a 1450 can fit with 633 endlinks, on a 145.022 of 1989/90?...
Thanks a lot.
B.

Why use 633 endlinks? The 808 endlinks will work on a watch from 1989/1990.

Maybe because they are cheaper than a pair of 808 and easier to source.

I would have to pick a 1450 and a 633 from the bank to answer this question but I have a feeling that the middle part of the 1450 is wider than the 633...

Cheaper surely... and as kov says, EASIER to source of course...! I'm quite desperate... because in fact I look for a 1450/808, quite hard to find... or astronomical price (did you see the last ebay one?... >3keur!...). I see sometimes 1450 without endlinks... but never the 808 alone... and I wonder why one cannot find "compatible" parts for these endlinks... there is a business to do!

There is a small difference in the size of the center section, the 1171 will fit the 808 end links with a small gap and so I would assume the 1450 links are wider than the 633 center but it would be very easy to increase the size of the 633 center to fit the 1450

Oh, good info, thanks, I did not know this shop, and thanks for the omega ref also.
300eur?... waou. And of course, you want to sell it, make a good deal by doubling the price, meaning 33%/year (good invest!), and that's it!!! I'm your man! 😝

Ok, I see; I saw indeed a post talking about the 1171 with 808 endlinks, which was a strange subject to me... but ok, I understand; possible in this combination, not on the other... 😵‍💫

I remember finding a 1450 bracelet on French eBay for 300 euros (lucky!) 3 years ago without the endlinks. I picked up the 808's from Cousins. The Part number is 026ST808. It looks like they aren't allowed to sell them anymore though:

Do you happen to know the part number for the bracelet? I went into a boutique over the weekend to order one and they could not cross reference 1450 with any of their bracelet codes.

1450 is the reference number. Not suprised that they couldn't find any, you're about 30 years too late 😉

Thanks for response. I was kinda hoping you could sill source these from Omega. I just figured they would still stock these parts for repair of their older pieces. Live and learn.

I've had 808's on an 1171 and they were a decent fit.
I've also had a pair of 633's that someone had altered to fit a 1450 by filling away the inner gap to allow it to accept the final link of the 1450. Ruined them for use on an 1171.

I first had the Uncle Seiko 1450 copy on my 861 Speedy and it is a great value for the money and looks good. The only two things I didn’t like about it was the clasp (I replaced with a genuine Omega clasp which made it much better), the sharpness of the sides of the bracelet, and the thing I found most annoying (the endlinks are not like the more genuine rounded 808s). The 808 endlinks look a lot better on the watch head. The price difference is huge though, so value wise, the Uncle Seiko or Forster is way to go. For me, I just had to have the genuine 1450 with 808 links and don’t regret it.

1st pic below of my Speedy on the flat angled end link of the Uncle Seiko 1450 copy and then all the following pics of the watch on the 1450/808.
