Update...
I bought an extract from Omega which I was a bit disappointed in. As reference it only states: ST 145.022. I was hoping for an extension like "-69". I asked Omega about this and they replied:
"Referring to your message, we kindly inform you that the extract of the archives unfortunately never confirms what should be stamped on the case back (-69/-71/-74 etc.)."
Basically everything included I already knew but now I have it in writing from Omega. The watch was produced January 24, 1974.
Since August I did update the watch with a clearer example of a stepped dial. The indices are lighter than hands but I don't think it is so noticable. I will probably start looking for the correct bracelet in 2020.
Thanks for everyone's input. Have a happy holiday! - Mike
Interesting that a watch confirmed as produced in 1974 has the steel brake. I know I saw somewhere else in OF and I think "the book" that the delrin brake began in 1971 for the 861. Probably has to do with the "non-sequential" way Omega used movements. I do know that the delrin brake only began in 1974 on the 911 flightmaster movements
