Hey everyone,

Unexpected change of course in this saga. I have the watch. After the events of this thread unfolded, Eric and I were able to communicate and work it out. It turns out that there the ordeal contained a mix of some accidents and mistakes - and without putting words in the sellers mouth, I think it's safe to say that there were valuable lessons learned in the process. After speaking with him directly he was able to explain the situation in more detail, and I'm confident he's a good guy and didn't intend on taking advantage of anyone, despite what it very clearly looked like at the time. That much at least is evident by the fact that he owned up to it, and delivered the watch to me for less than he could have under better circumstances in order to make good on the deal. I personally would trust Eric again in the future.
