Hi exerts,

what do we have here?

It looks like an early Speedy/Railmaster box but it is lacking the Omega wording on top (below the seahorse)

Furher it is lacking the Omega logo on the front side...

The insert does not look correct either - it looks like a DIY replacement...

It sold for heavy money 3540 € / 3800 CHF / 3950 US$

Is it a "P" ?? 😜

Compared to the box in MWO 3rd edn (p216), there are other differences too:
- watch doesn't insert diagonally
- gold decoration around edge of lid is closer to top face of lid
- OMEGA printing inside lid looks thinner
- "High Precision" is not written in all upper case
- Spacing of letters in Precision doesn't look uniform (but may be optical effect due to corduroy)

Does anyone have the dimensions of this box?

I am not sure how precise the sellers measurements were done, especially measuring the heights can be tricky due to the domed lid... the box was about the same size as the original (I suppose), but still too many differences

I did bid on it but finally I am not sad that somebody was ready to pay more than I. I am sure this box will resurface soon 😀
