Lol is there a limit still? I know when I got my first 4 in NYC it had to be 2 transactions.
It was my wife and her grandmother. I think they told me they weren't even supposed to sell them 2 each.
It's limited to 1 purchase.

My work buddy told me he called them and they did confirm they will have some on Tuesday.
The store is about 20 min from the office inside of a mall that opens at 10.
We were thinking we may head out "for lunch" and check it out.
But if the hype is real, I's sure that would likely be too late....I don't really have the option to head over there and camp out lol.
Oh gosh, I want to clarify haha. I would never ask someone to camp out for me. I was meaning whenever the hype has died down and these become readily available like the other “Mission to…” versions. The hype flippers will ruin it for everyone first, so I expect it will be a little while before these become readily available.

My nearest Swatch store is in San Francisco and that several hour drive, plus driving through the city,/paying for parking, all for the chance they will have one is just one big nightmare.

Oh don't get me wrong I'd be down! lol
But yeah now that I have one close by (although the next closest one is 1.5hrs away) I don't mind checking things out...

I am in the bay area as well. The idea of going to the city. I like Snoopy and alll and this might save me from more landeron parts ...

Was going to look and see if there was one nearby. I remember when they were in all the malls.

The sad thing is those 'camping out' will most likely be flippers or people paid to line sit by flippers.

I actually put on one of my 'snoopies' today in honor of this announcement. and wore it till the strap broke. Too many watches on one wrist.

Dang, how's that compare to the initial Moonswatch markup?

On the one hand, I'm bummed that I won't be getting one anytime soon. On the other hand, I guess I'm glad that there's so much hype and excitement for watches.

Side note: I love that they ditched the 1/10 second subdial for the moonphase. I always get annoyed that quartz watches have a 24-hour dial or a 1/10 second dial, both of which I find useless. A moonphase is something I actually use, albeit sparingly, to plan when to use my telescope.

I remember @cvalue13 providing detailed examples from Stockx and eBay and I wanted to reshare them here, but I can’t find them. There are so many MoonSwatch threads, with some being dozens of pages long, that it’s a bit challenging to find those posts.

However, I did find this post from June 2022.
MoonSwatch prices have also dropped from when they first launched on the secondary market from about $2k USD to roughly $500 now.
I do recall seeing many fixed price listings & auctions that exceeded the 2k mark, though I’m not sure how many actually sold. I remember seeing various people claiming to have had fun bidding up those auctions purely to waste the flippers time. That said, cvalue regularly shared examples of sales around the 2k mark and I still can’t believe there were people eagerly willing to spend that much on these watch's.

So I decided to do something stupid and stand in line for the Moonphase. There are 2.5 hours until the store opens. Let’s see if I get one.

Good luck, in the Netherlands (Utrecht) they had 5 watches, there was a line of about 20 people.

I did not go. My buddy called yesterday and they did not say how many they had, only "they will be gone in 30 seconds" lol.
We both needed to be at work this AM so lining up early for a 10AM store opening was just not in the cards for us.
We though we may go check out the situation around lunch time, but after the phone call, we figured it's be pointless.

Limited supply then, as expected. I did not bother to find a local place and stand in line.

I notice that since I tend to put Venus chronographs in my searches, that moonswatch model comes up a lot. Not sure if this is a one off or it it will remain listed like the planetary models.

Still one does feel a bit like they have been outbid/outmaneuvered at auction.

Well… it will be a while before these start falling into the hands of people that actually want them. Hype flippers have to ruin it first. Yesterday, there were only 2 on eBay. Now there are 182

Surprised there is not a swatch Store in Walnut Creek.

I remember an iPhone line in Valley Fair. Woz was in line as a publisity stunt. As usual we got talking for hours. The reporters were not amuses. Actually steve liked to hang out at the mall anyway. He did so as a teenager.

Sometime, I need to make the 40 mile (60 or so KM) drive to Toppers. Just to see what they have.

I did do the Harry Potter Order of the Phoenix book release at the Stanford mall. They did it as a pre order, with an adult costume competition which I won one of the prizes (a second copy of the book) Which I tipped into the library donation box. Probably the first of many hundreds which later showed up.

Must have patience. Eventually these are going to break down. And I am making progress on my attempts to open a swatch chronograph.

every so often I tighten the screw

Maybe prices will go down on the specific Moonswatch I personally would prefer. Although as stated, even 260 euros is arguably a lot for a plastic toy watch.
