Thought I’d share. Rookie professional truck drivers first trip.

Left Montreal 9am Sunday to drop an empty flatbed in l’Orignal Ontario. Picked up a load of wire destined for Wheeling,Illinois. I have my trainer Marc giving advice and sharing the driving.

Obligatory stop if you're Canadian. DD? Eat your heart out!

Arrived Monday morning at 6am local time Monday. After unloading and tidying up, we learned that our return pick up was delayed until tomorrow morning so we had a little downtime and took a quick stroll in the Windy City. Amazing.

Should back in Montreal late Tuesday weather permitting.

Cheers to all ;) and thanks for the great replies to my initial post

I suppose you are of Italian origins, so good luck for your new job from Milan.

Always wanted to be a truck driver in the Americas ever since I was 8. Maybe i have a romanticised view based on 70s Films - but looking at your post it still looks cool to me.
Trucking in the UK doesn’t have quite the same appeal somehow!
Keep the shiny side up! And watch out for Smokies!

Buffalo is a frequent destination for the company. I’ll definitely do that.

Cheers

Sorry to much Clarkson.
I gave up on my childhood dreams of Trucking long ago and as a result of poor career choices became a Management Consultant instead :(.
