So Whats The Story Behind Your User Name and Avatar

My name is Jeff, and I'm left handed. When I was a younger lad (like 3), I wrote from left to right rather than right to left due to my handedness. Because of this, I used to write me name as "ffej" rather than "Jeff." I was also a huge fan of Brett Favre when I was younger, hence the number 4. Ffej4.

Here's mine:

As a youngster, I was known by the nickname, 'Dougie'; my grandma even when I grew up was the only one that couldn't switch to just 'Doug'... Then in high school, I was dubbed, 'Dude' (well before 'The Big Lebowski'!). I put the two together. The avatar is, of course, the 'Connie' medallion, my most prized vintage piece 馃グ馃榿 so far...

Ah yes, very nice watch.

I grew up until the age of fifteen in the far north of Scotland and then moved first to Essex and then when I was nineteen to Hampshire where I have lived pretty much ever since apart from a year back in Scotland and two years in London, hence my user name. The avatar comes from my very young days in Scotland in the fifties when I followed the Scottish racing team from Edinburgh.

I owned a Ford FPV F6 ute which was turbo charged in Australia one thing led to another and it ended up with 420 rwkw .Used to scare the living daylights out of me .I needed an e-mail address and combined my name Nick and the F6 moniker .My son helped with the avatar from the Pixar movie Turbo .

Don't know if you are aware but you should still be able to use the French nationality if you ever needed an EU passport mate. What with 'Brexit'... Just in case??? I was born in London of Irish-Scottish parentage but I will continue to use my Irish nationality to obtain an EU passport.
You could have all three!馃槈

Peter Nicholas shortened and a play on beatnick ( I'm old)

Since joining I'd used a caricature an art student sketched on the subway and handed to his unknowing model as I left the train but last month Brian Young published "The Train NYC 1984" and one of the photos is of a 33 year younger me.

As a night owl I was perennially late to work, trains pulling into the station were packed. The only way to board was between cars, though it's both illegal and dangerous. I recall turning my head in shame when he snapped this picture, neck muscles are slower than even a slow shutter.

My first internet ID I can't recall from around 20 years ago. No matter what I sign up for, it's never taken, so easy to keep using. A surgical instrument where a jet of argon plasma provides superficial hemostasis without burning too deep. Avatar changes to random pics that are easy to pull off my ipad. Serious watch money going to my son's 529 (a university savings account that avoids some taxation for those non-US members. University will cost about $400,000,000 in 17 years for my son if I extrapolate from the last 17 years of tuition hikes). That's why you see me posting cheap, overlooked watches I find in the dark corners of ebay and craigslist.

I assumed beatnick was part of it, but wondered about the "p". Cool photograph.

My forum name is from my love of Roleplaying, D&D, Pendragon, etc, and most of all, Call of Cthulhu. This is based on the works of HP Lovecraft, and he mentions the Great Old Ones often. So - I'm the GreatOldOne (or GOO for short). Used it on pretty much every forum I've joined.

The avatar is of a plush Cthulhu - the end times have never been so cute & cuddly! 馃槑

For me BPD are my initials. My avatar was taken on a secluded beach in Hawaii (sorry can't tell you which island). Made my then girlfriend hiked 30 mins in 100 degrees weather to get to. When we got there, well it was paradise so we cracked opened a couple of cold ones to celebrate! When we left, my then girlfriend became my fiancee 馃槈

Since neither of you are in the pic, I shall assume you are both stark naked.
