So, what are you guys into aside from watches?

Do you mean the ipu drums they use for hula?

Yes, "Ipu" it is! (One of these is huge, so packing will be quite a task, even if someone wants it. It looks like the two shown toward the bottom of this page - even bigger! LOL! ( "Ipu Heke" - now I remember, according to the website.):

My big boy is fine - enjoying the sun outdoors at the moment. No, don't think I will put him on eBay. 馃槈

The F-car is lovely but a bright mustard Eclat is something I've NEVER seen

I rather like it in yellow, one of my neighbors when I was a kid had a first gen Esprit in the same color.

Yes the yellow was slightly unusual but a good safe colour, no blending in to the background. Had a few Lotus over the years, great driving cars but really poor build quality, they never seemed to have left the kit car days behind.
Now the prancing horse was a different kettle of fish, built like a tank with an engine that just went on and on. Only downside was that it was a giant magnet for the boys in blue. The traffic police boys were always keen for a good look at them.
The only car that I had a hankering for and never acquired was the "Daimler Dart" sp250 prices are rising now for the good ones.
A later Lotus on holiday in Switzerland -

Should have noticed the rubbish on the pavement 馃檨 Not what you expect in Switzerland.

Ah with that Daimler SP250, my dad and his mate jointly owned one for a long time, and his mate now has it rotting under his house, its been there for 30 years. Apparently when going 140+ in it, the scuttle shake was so much that the doors came open.

The wonders of the British automotive industry. At full pelt in the Lotus you could poke your fingers though the top door seals, the response from Lotus " They all do that " basically not interested.
As an aside one of the greatest little fun cars I ever owned was a Honda S800, came at a time when I was in to MG"s and to suddenly have this little flying machine that just went without the constant tinkering that we were used to was amazing.
Never thought I would miss the days of tuning carbs, adjusting tappets etc. 馃槈

Ha oddly enough the car he had before the Sp250 was an S600, then after it a few bugeye sprites. Apparently the hondas were chain drive or something from memory, sounds like an... interesting option

My other hobby has taken me away from watches this year. It used to be the opposite. About a decade ago, when I moved to my current home, I ended up with my smallest garage in a couple of decades. Watches take less space.

This year, I built this:

Moved in and starting catching up on a backlog of work

Watch collecting has been taking a back seat and the top of the 4 post lift is empty, so cars will probably make a comeback, but I still managed to add 24 watches to the collection this year.

Cars, especially luxury cars

And of course, my cat Steve 馃榾

Very much share the same!

Very interesting thread, this.... evidence that we do have a life beyond the time-telling machines we are addicted to!!!

For me, beyond the many interests which have come and gone over the years, like fishing and diving back home in Egypt where the underwater world in Sinai at the Red Sea is exceptional (BIG hint for the divers here!), two main addictions have remained with me over the years:

Cars - starting off with my weekend workshops with my dad, trying to maintain his 60's VW Beetle and keep it running for as many years as possible..... all the way until my current "precious" (Gollum sounding here!) Cadillac CTS 2011 Sports Sedan:

And Cats - having lived with 6 cats through the years and currently with 2 awesome feline members of the family:

Moon, my companion of 8 years who is a god-motherly charactered Lilac Point Siamese:

and iiona, the recent addition to the family, a Norwegian Forest Cat breed, with the wildest of demeanor!!

The diving near Aqaba, in the Red Sea, is incredible

Yes... most definitely! The Red Sea as a whole is extremely diverse for diver environments... something for everyone! The area close to Aqaba near Egypt which is great for some awesome beginner to tec diving is Dahab. Check out dive sites like Blue Hole and the Canyon. At Sharm El Sheikh, there's Ras Mohammed and Tiran.

馃憤 Melhadary,
Beagles are often a misunderstood breed but with a little understanding they are very loving but my fella is something else. With the prospect of a treat he will work to hand signals every bit as good and sometimes even better than my previous gun dogs.
Now if only my daughters behaved so well 馃槈
