Nice one. Even although we build them I personally have only had a go in one once myself.

.. recently retired and learning fly fishing ( no luck so far but my casting is getting better. Aside from that, sitting here admiring my newly restored Connie and dreaming of the day I can afford to purchase another one my first ever cars (original one left at a garage as I could not afford the engine rebuild.

Are NJ Pizzas as good as the NY Pizzas that Yankees are always being snobby about?

It depends on the shop. NY, NJ, Conn, and PA all have skinny pizza which is WAY better than the stuff those poor Cubs fans have to endure. Your heart has to go out to an entire group of people who suffer with a century thick with futility..... and an even worse baseball team.

So what's so special about this pizza? I'm a big pizza fan but I order Pizza Hut cheese lovers with stuffed crust (or occasionally Dominos cheese with stuffed crust) since I'm a vegetarian

I feel a bit sorry for anyone who's forced into believing Pizza Hut and Domino's make good pizza. They aren't bad, but if you've never had the alternative I guess you'd like those chains.

Besides, pizza from Italy is the real deal from what I've heard from friends who've been there.

Well what does a real pizza look like and how is it different/better?

The crust, the sauce, the cheeses..... it's just different. The better cheeses drip less oil. The better places use higher quality ingredients and will precook they're toppings and blot them to remove the grease. I can't fully explain it all because I'm not a pizza expert.

As an American, I have to give props to the Ozzies on this one - consistently the best coffee I've had

Same difference between bread in plastic bag from the grocery store shelf and warm from the baker's shelf, Parmesan already powdered in a jar and a chunk from the farmer himself, and tomatoes in a can and those at a roadside stand next to the land that grew them. The first set is fine, but the second has a fullness of flavor that the first doesn't come close to.

No offense intended to our friends Down Under, but Lou, have you ever visited a typical caf茅 in Vienna?

That said, my espresso is better than most caf茅s, but then again, I can take time to make it well.

I have, as I have a biennial gig in Austria (always detour to Munich - great watch town). I'd say Osterreich at its best is better than Oz, but Oz gets laurels for consistency - you can get top flight stuff - waaay better than anything I've had stateside - from a large number of pretty unassuming places.
