Bravo. Lovely looking piece. I say clean but not polish the case and polywatch the crystal. Patina is nice but someone else鈥檚 wrist cheese is gross.

Wow what a stunning find - congrats.

That bezel and dial will look amazing.

I've got to say though, even considering leaving the bloody body residue and scratches on the crystal is a bit daft. Get it cleaned and the crystal polished so you can properly let everything pop.

Beautiful watch, but out of date cheese and crystal scratches add nothing at all to the package. Personally I think anyone who thinks otherwise has totally lost the plot!

I love buying a filthy watch, and cleaning the case, crystal and bracelet of any new treasure that comes my way is an important part of the hobby to me....therapeutic too 馃榾

Awesome watch - clear away the cheese and enjoy it. The watch that is, not the cheese 馃槈

Might as well clean the cheese, because since the case back has been opened, the original air that was trapped has been released, tanking the value.

I鈥檓 glad that someone in this thread understands where the true value in watches lies.

Best throw it away. 馃槈

f蠀ck me! That is beautiful. 4th dibs after @repoman. Give it a clean, although after all the fondling it will be pretty clean anyway.

Will we soon see franken watches that have been refilled with NOS air from the production year? Perhaps from an old forgotten diving bottle?

That is wonderful! Congrats on a great find!

Doubtful I'll ever be in a position to own one like this - but if I'd did I'd like to think I'd clean it it. +1 for polywatch

I also envisage in the future threads debating the merit and differing value propositions between original, unmolested cheese and restored cheese ( maybe 'processed cheese' has a nice ring to it? )
