Or clean off the Wrist Cheese and polish that plexi so the full beauty of the dial can show through?
That's all I would do.

Mother. Of. God.

If I was lucky enough to find one like this, I wouldn't touch a thing. But I'd probably take it out and look at it nightly. There are very few like this left out there and clearly it's sealed perfectly...this is a museum piece.

Be kind to that beautiful piece and remove the cheese. The watch did not leave the factory with cheese.

Damn, that’s the goods right there. I’m a germophobe and I’d still leave the cheese.

Might as well clean the cheese, because since the case back has been opened, the original air that was trapped has been released, tanking the value.

Amazing, you are one lucky man and being in the right place at the right time with the necessary $'s.
Total envy, drool, on my knees facing Switzerland !
Clean and lubricate, the horological Gods are with you.

from my point of view : the watch is so damn good it deserves a shower and some love. i would clean it from the wrist cheese and polish the crystal, nothing else.

Another level..... speechless....

Weird watchmaker to keep in private collection and store it away without cleaning first. Remove that cheese please.

Now, how can we update the Speedmaster101 price table?

I would service the movement. I can see a hair or something on it. And for a movement that has never had the screws turned, they sure made a mess of the case back trying to get it off in the past!!

Then enjoy it to hell and back - thats a beauty

Amazing find I’m going to drink myself into a stupor as my efforts are not even remotely close.

Stunning piece.
