New Staccato 2011 (double stack 1911 with polymer frame) and first time I鈥檝e ever owned or used a pistol like this or an optic. I don鈥檛 want too believe it, but it鈥檚 incredible. I鈥檓 really enjoying it, target acquisition is super fast. My brain still wants to focus on the dot occasionally, like we focus on front iron sights, but focusing on the target instead Is getting to be a no brainer. Such a joy to shoot with, and I go through ammo like crazy.

Also wanted to share some incredible Turkish walnut grips I had made. Using wood you would normally find on custom 10k dollar shotguns, I asked my grip guy for the same for a couple 1911s. What鈥檚 really cool with one set, I asked if he could also remake the plastic bumper from the walnut. Not only did he do it, but he made the wood grain line up! Apparently, he has got a ton of requests for similar after posting them on social media.

Another bayonet pic. Finally bought a surplus Ontario Marine okc3s bayonet shown here on a Colt SP1 I've had for a while.

Taking some advice from this forum I decided to up my home protection game and bought a bayonet for the ole Garand.
"The greatest battle weapon ever devised." -- General George S. Patton.
My father is the editor in chief of the Garand Journal. I grew up shooting the non-collector versions he has.

Old meets new early 70's Remington 700 BDL sitting in new Remington 700 CDL stock Now I need to take the rifle out to the range so I can find out if the stock needs some tweaks. If the rifle is accurate I will leave well enough alone

I'll post a few when i get the time to play around with downloading them from my Facebook account... This is the photograph that had me drop my "friend" count by I think 20 or 30 when posted.

It's kind of an important piece for me as it was given out by our Minister of Defense to at that time to the first Anti Terrorist Squad leader and a war hero as such ( Croatian war of Independence). And it was issued in the same month and year i was born...

I must say this has been the best .357 Magnum I have used to date.

Things were slow today. It is so slow, I even got the smoker out for a pork shoulder and some chicken. After a couple thousand rounds through it in the past month I manned up and cleaned the Glock 19 G5. Did the G3 since I was at it. Scoured the internet for a bayonet for the Glock, no luck yet.

It was a safe queen and still is so I'm not that bothered by that. And seeing where I'm from CC or OC are not really an option for 90% of the civilian population and what gets to be a CCW is more or less prescribed by the gubmint. I'm covered there by a P30SK...

Only sexy package that almost got me killed was an exGF with a runny mouth so 馃槜...

@High Hope gorgeous.

Well guys, I just picked up a minty SW 15 snub. I love the imbalanced look of the ultra short barrel and square butt grips on this model and finally got one. This one is from 1972, a 15-3.

Love Smith & Wesson Model 15 2-inch!

They look so "bi-nesslike." They're one of the best looking Smith & Wesson revolvers ever made.

Has anyone here shot both the Glock G27 and the G43?
I used to have a G27 that I bought on a whim and I never really liked it and got rid of it.
Fast forward to today and I'm back in the market for something in the compact/subcompact Glock range.
3 different people that I have talked to have all told me to get a G43, but I'm worried I may not like it since I did not like the G27.
I know I just need to go shoot it, but I wanted to hear some other opinions first.
I was also considering just getting the G19 (@The Father) if I felt the G43 to be too small.
I don't intend on concealing it, but I'm definitely in the market for something a tad smaller.
I'm also not set on a 9mm. I would also consider a .45, but I wouldn't totally turn down another .40, but it would have to be the G23.
I do not shoot a lot. Like, at all. only a handful of times a year.
Also pretty set on Glock since I am familiar with them and also get some pretty good pricing on them.
Any opinions would be appreciated!

Did you try the pinky/finger extension on the magazine? The length of the grip is a frequent complaint of the 26/27/33 glocks. I think the width difference between the 27 and 43 could help depending on what was the issue. The 30 (.45 acp) frame is a different animal and may fit your needs, but the frame is larger diameter than the 27 and the 43. Long and short, go glock 19 first, but try the others at the store.

Have the Glock 43. Got a couple mag extensions for the 43. The Glock 43 is snappy little bitch when it comes to recoil. I don't really like it. The Glock 48 or 19 is better to shoot.

I did have a magazine that added I believe one extra finger groove, which did make it feel better in the hands, but it still just felt overall too small.
But at the time my only other handgun was a 4" barrel .357. So maybe I never gave it a fair chance lol.
I'm pretty set on the idea of the G19.
It's just my wife. Even though she knows I've been around firearms my whole life, and she has even been shooting with me multiple times, she just still has a holdup about having them in the house.
All I have left is a .22LR and the .357. The G27 and a 12 gauge are long gone. And the .22 and the .357 are at my dads house (I gave them to him when I moved to NYC years ago but I never took them back when I moved back).
I don't think she would care so much if we didn't have a small child in the house....

There are rapid release safes out there that may help with the child situation. A double action only revolver pull of 10+ lbs is not pleasant to shoot, but can help serve as a deterrent. You have to consider what your personal/home defense plan allows for and what weaknesses it has.
