Snoopy 2025 production issues?

Ok, I’ve looked more closely at mine with a jeweler’s visor. The subdial edges are sharp, the stars are sharp as is the lettering. The zipper is there but the line is very faint, and there’s no line between the feet. None of this makes me want a new dial. But I found a speck of dust on the 12 hour dial, and the minute dial, and on the outer dial at 22 seconds. That’s what I will have it sent in for. Eventually. I’ve got almost 5 years warranty for that. Yes, it’s inside, not on the crystal. I don’t have a way to take macros of it. Edit, it must be a chip of Lume, it glows in this picture.

I signed up to follow this thread more closely when it dropped. Happy to share mine (2025 edition), I think it resembles @bsowers34 snoopy (image above). Shot was made with my iPhone and will make a macro of it soon.

Yours seems to have a little more definition of the zipper line. I actually like seeing variations, makes it seem like they are not just machine built copies.

Pretty cool background
Thanks. I try to use that when I post WRUW for one of the 3861s. Unless I’m already at work, then I use a Mercedes picture.

You should ask for it to be replaced if you want the zippers. They’ll oblige. The SA expressed doubts that they would, but that’s normal considering she isn’t informed about the issue or Omega’s policy

Good news, Omega has obliged to replace the entire dial under warranty. They’ve also sent me an identical email (as the one that has been floating in this thread) acknowledging the issue and stating that they’ll replace the dial.

I live in Singapore and have been told that it’ll take 3-4 months before I get the watch back. They’ll have to ship it to Biel, Switzerland for the dial replacement. It’s a long wait considering I sent the watch in less than 48 hours after purchasing it. I’m fine with the wait but just wondering whether anyone managed to get an extended warranty for the duration of the wait? Eg if the wait is 3 months then the 5-year warranty is extended by 3 months. Alternatively, the 5-year warranty commences at the point of collection of the refurbished watch.

Strong point/case, Wonder what omega would answer or do.

If it is accepted as a warranty issue, then the time of repair/replacement is excluded from the warranty period and the overall warranty period is prolonged…this is your right in EU.

Five years from date of original sale is certainly sufficient even if the watch is gone for 3-4 months. If there is a problem with the watch it will show up before the five year mark.

Finally got my Silver Snoopy this morning. It's also got the weaker snoopy - but I think I'll keep it. I suppose I have five years to change my mind, right?

I don't mind the missing line on the bottom of his foot or the buttons vs zipper. The part that looks poorly done to me is his hand on the case / tank handle - but that looks just as undefined on the zipper version

Uffff, imagine this - you wait for months or even years to get a Snoopy at retail and right before that this thread appears. You read it, seed of doubt gets planted, but you still hope for the best. Suddenly a call comes, so you go to the OB to pick the watch and once presented to you, you see thin lines and lack of detail... What a moment that must be...

I wouldn't assume you have five years to decide if the dial isn't acceptable to you, it will likely be out of production by then. I think this is something you should decide asap and act accordingly. IMO.

Thanks. I suspect they will have replacement dials for longer than you might think, but regardless, I am 99% sure I will stick with what I got. I like the added layer of history, and aside from the weak zipper and line between Snoopy's feet, my example is very nice and sharp. The stars look nice and well defined, and while some of the illustration / lines are thinner, I kind of prefer it.

Other than the foot and zipper it looks fine. Nice stars.

That's kinda like saying "other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play"...

Just 'telling it like it is' as Howard Cosell used to say. If the criteria is everything must be present to pass scrutiny then most new ones are unacceptable. That's pretty harsh, but if we are going to hold high standards for an $11,200 bauble, so be it. Omega knows there are variations that might be unacceptable to an owner and will replace the dial if asked. So why settle?

for my part I must have the mark1 dial but I admit that I like just as much those which only have shirt buttons, everything is finer and cleaner, in the end if I had the choice I don't know which one I would take so I understand those who keep the space shirts

Just joined the forum to add to this thread.
6/2025 Snoopy from OB.

Arranging a replacement from the OB later this week.

Replacement dial came in - the zipper and scarf are much nicer, while the line between the feet is faint, but better than non-existant.
